Functional Medicine is an evolution in the practice of medicine that better addresses the whole body as one ecosystem, not as different parts operate independently from one another. This Science based approach views symptoms as the reflections of a few common interconnected imbalances.
By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of medical practice to a more patient-centered approach, functional medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.
Nutrition is the core modality of Functional Medicine. The IFM (Institute of Functional Medicine) defines functional nutrition as an approach that “emphasizes the importance of high- quality foods and phytonutrient diversity to address clinical imbalances and move people to the highest expression of health".

Mindful eating is a way of life; it can help us learn or relearn how to have a healthy relationship with food and how to remove any problematic feelings we may have picked up over years of restriction and following meal plans.
Weight loss may be a side effect of cultivating this renewed relationship, but it’s important not to aim for weight loss in this journey of coaching. Doing so may constrain us so that we are unable to truly eat intuitively or in a mindful way.

If it wasn’t for Zein then I would still be stuck in my 60’s. Zein not only transformed me physically but mentally as well.
